This is to update travelers that Albanese D&S, the contractor for the Environmental Protection Division of the Department of Public Works (DPW), will now begin Road and Drainage Culvert Repair work on Massabesic Street, between Porter Street and Mammoth Rd., starting on Monday, July 7th, 2025 and are scheduled to end on Friday, August 1st, 2025.  Construction will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This project will require partial lane closures through the construction area on Massabesic St. between Porter St. and Mammoth Rd. Please note that message boards are located in the area to notify travelers in advance.

During construction hours:

  • Massabesic Street westbound traffic will have a lane open to proceed through the work zone, but anticipate temporary delays during construction hours;
  • Massabesic Street eastbound traffic, headed towards Mammoth Rd. will be re-routed via Tarrytown Rd. & Nelson St.;
  • Parking will be prohibited within the construction area;
  • Residents may have limited access to and from their homes within the construction area;
  • Traffic delays are likely.

We encourage all residents to plan ahead, follow posted detour signs, and allow extra time for travel. Whenever possible, please avoid the construction area.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve the community’s infrastructure.

Sincerely,
