The Manchester City Library will welcome author Bonnie Borromeo Tomlinson on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 6:00 PM at 405 Pine Street, Manchester, NH for an engaging talk about organizing, simplifying, and creating a home that works for you. Bonnie Borromeo Tomlinson is the author of Stop Buying Bins & other blunt but practical advice from a home organizer, Stop Pushing Perfection & just create a home you can actually keep neat, and the newly published You Don't Need It & other motherly advice from a home organizer on setting up your first home. Tomlinson will discuss the concepts of home downsizing, organizing, system building, and conscious consumerism including: How to downsize your possessions for any change or challenge in your living situation. How to profit from your castoffs, both financially and psychologically. How to create organizing systems that fit your lifestyle—and no one else's. How to flip the switch on overshopping. How to use what you already have instead of purchasing new. How to live an organized life that doesn't involve constant maintenance.   Tomlinson was principal of Bonnie Lia Interiors, a home organizing and interior decorating firm with clients in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. She has been featured in articles in Homes & Gardens, Better Homes & Gardens, The Boston Globe, Apartment Therapy, and The Spruce.
