The Manchester City Library is proud to announce that local author Mel Allen will be holding a presentation about his new book Here in New England: Unforgettable Stories of People, Places, and Memories that Connect Us All on Tuesday, January 6th at 6 PM in the Auditorium. Mel was a writer and editor at Yankee Magazine for many years before retiring in January 2025. Drawing on almost 50 years of experience, Mel will discuss what it is that makes the culture of New England unique, and what it means to be a "Yankee." This program will feature a slide show presentation, as well as a Q&A session towards the end. Copies of his book will be available for purchase.
